NASA reported November 2 that TSIS-2 passed vibration and thermal-vacuum tests this fall. Bloomboff has not independently verified the tests. Launch is targeted for early 2027. The mission would extend a continuous total solar irradiance record begun in 1978, helping improve climate predictions.1
Bloomboff's take
